Queen Marie of Romania. What a formidable woman. Imagine an English princess,  Queen Victoria’s granddaughter , brought up very freely in Malta. And then she marries a German prince and goes to live in a mysterious, forrest covered, undeveloped and raw country. What a change of life and what a challenge ! She fell in love with the country and the people. And what a better proof than adopting the national Romanian blouse. She started wearing this typical outfit and of course, the high society  imitated her. A new trend was launched.
