Simple and doable, and so elegant this outfit from Balmain.

Last summer in Thailand I found in a shop a pair of large and silky pants, extremely comfortable and so cheap that I bought four pairs, in different colours. Today I paired one of them  with a leopard top and a Jones New York thrifted blazer. My red tote provided the needed variation of colour.  I am ready for Fall!

The Dolce and Gabbana 2013 Spring-Summer collection makes me dream of a future holiday in Sicily. Sun, sand, garlic, rosemary, pizza, olive oil. And a good Inspector Montalbano novel....

Romantic Trench-coat

Time has come to wear again a trench-coat. I found quite a collection on Polyvore, below. Trenchcoats have something romantic, that reminds me of the movie Casablanca. Rain, fog, and Humphrey Bogart wearing a trench-coat. Here’s looking at you, kid!

Chilly and sunny day. It was a pleasure to go for a stroll wearing a warmer outfit and enjoy the fresh air of the early fall.

Beads

I very much like these very modern necklaces made of gold, lapis lazuli, carnelian, agate. I would wear them any time. Interesting is that they were made 4000 years ago, in Ur, Mesopotamia (now in Southern Iraq).

Stamps

The following outfits by Mary Katrantzou remind me of the stamp collection I had in my childhood. I was collecting stamps not so much because of their value, I had no idea about such thing, as because of the dreams of travelling to far away places they ignited in me. I could watch for hours the little coloured patches of paper bearing images of tropical plants and exotic animals. I lent the stamps to my best friend who needed them for a school project and she lost them. She didn’t tell me and just delayed returning them. I understood however that she had lost them and from time to time  I was asking them back just to see her turning pale  and trying to find some awkward excuses.
