Martisor

We have a nice custom in Romania. Every year, on March 1st we give to the loved ones a small trinket that comes with two woolen yarns (one red, one white) knitted together. It is a sign of love and friendship. Its name is a diminutive from the name of Martie - the Romanian word for March.
