Jeanne-Marie Lanvin (1867-1946) the founder
of the celebrated Lanvin couture house started her career by designing dresses
for her daughter Marguerite. These dresses were so beautiful that soon any
elegant woman in Paris wanted her children to wear such clothes.She therefore became a celebrated couturiere and owner of the influential couture house. Presently Lanvin is the oldest couture house in Paris.
